MALLORY SPARKS is a writer and actor born and raised in New York City. With a B.A. in Theater and Psychology from Georgetown University and having completed the Two-Year Meisner Conservatory at Maggie Flanigan Studio, Mallory began her career as a professional actor on both coasts. She garnered rave reviews for her guest-starring turn on black-ish from Vulture and AV Club, and has worked on titles such as Orange is the New Black, That Damn Michael Che, and The Detour.
With a knack for comedy, Mallory expanded into writing, co-writing, and starring in a web series, Long Distance (Official Selection: Bushwick Film Festival), and a short film, Good Daughters, co-starring Marceline Hugot (30 Rock, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel). Her feature script, Saturn Return, placed top ten in Launch Pad’s Feature Competition, was a finalist for ScreenCraft’s Feature Competition, and advanced to the second round of the Sundance Development Track. Her half-hour dramedy pilot, Culturally, a personal exploration of her Jewish identity, was long-listed for the Black List x Women In Film Episodic Lab.
Her work focuses on coming-of-age stories about adults who should've figured it out by now.
