BIO
LISA GARVEY is a character-driven high-concept genre writer and novelist based in Ventura, CA. Her work is driven by grounded characters in larger-than-life situations that are whimsical, surreal, and a little creepy. Lisa is a member of the Look What She's Doing! 2025 cohort, a program focused on supporting and uplifting women filmmakers where she co-produced and co-directed a short doc that premiered at the 2026 Ashes to Film Festival in LA. Her rewrite for Double Eye Productions' fantasy, FINDING PANDORA X, a live, interactive virtual reality theater performance won Best VR Immersive User Experience at SXSW and the Venice International Film Festival. Most recently she's been a finalist for the Sandy Run Novella Award, Humanitas New Voices fellowship, and the Black List Artist Development fellowship via Stowe Story Labs. While not vegan, Lisa loves vegan food made by anyone other than herself.
