BIO
Between working as a homeschooling mom and a professional theatre costumer, LESLEY ANN MCDANIEL has completed nineteen indie-published novels and three published by Harlequin, under their Heartsong Presents imprint. Her first novel, Saving Grace, was a 2012 semifinalist in the American Christian Fiction Writers' Genesis contest for new authors.
The first of her nine screenplays, Hammering it Home, was a 2017 Kairos finalist and was produced as Home Sweet Home by 5x5 Productions in 2020. Also in that year, The Neighbor made the finals of the Six-Feet-Apart Experiment. In 2023, her screenplay Heavenly Peace placed third in the Christian Worldview Film Festival Screenplay Competition.
In addition to being a USA Today bestselling author, Lesley is a member of the Northwest Christian Writers Association and a wonderful critique group. Having lived most of her adult life in the Seattle area, she is currently spending a season back in her snowy Montana hometown. In her spare time (ha!) she chips away at her goal of reading every book ever written.
