BIO
If Xena the Warrior Princess were a genderqueer Canadian with anxiety, you’d get KIRIANA STANTON. After suddenly losing their father at a young age and being the victim of a hate crime more than once—they became the queer, sword-fighting, neurodivergent activist they are today. From contemporary dramas to sci-fi/fantasy, they bring to life stories of diverse, queer-femme led found families navigating trauma, romance, neurodivergency, and dick-punching oppressive systems. The raw beating heart of humanity is always at the center.
A professional film actor for over two decades and spurred by their frustration with the lack of complex queer/trans representation in media, Kiriana isn’t afraid to sink their teeth into disenfranchised characters. They recently starred in the LGBTQ+ breakout film QUEEN TUT, and can be seen in series such as the sci-fi show THE EXPANSE. In their spare time, Kiriana is also known across Toronto as the drag king Jack Reckless.
