Semifinalist, 2025 JumpStart Writing Competition
BIO
KEVIN WALSH grew up with movie-going parents and saw many inappropriate and entirely wonderful movies at a tender age, which have shaped his understanding of movies, and of life, ever since. He has been a professional writer (though not a screenwriter) all his adult life.
In 2023, he graduated from the UCLA Professional Program in Screenwriting and was a Finalist for the Humanitas - David and Lynn Angell College Comedy Award (for the art world farce, JUICE, NO ICE, formerly titled YES, BUT IS IT ART?).
In 2024, his Black List-recommended dark comedy JOSEFINA was a Semifinalist for the Academy Nicholl Fellowships and a Second-Place Winner for the CineStory Feature Retreat and Fellowship.
In 2025, he received a Roadmap Writers Recommend rating for his sex comedy, LUCKY PIERRE, and JOSEFINA was named a Quarterfinalist in the Roadmap JumpStart Writing Competition.
