Semifinalist, 2026/2027 Top Tier Competition
BIO
Kevin Koljack is an LA-based writer who crafts genre stories with an edge of dark humor about protagonists mired in fucked up family dynamics. As a teen, Kevin took care of his sick father and raised his younger sister while his mother worked night and day to support the family. Life was chaotic, but what always brought Kevin's family together was a shared love of movies, television, and finding humor in messed-up situations. After kickboxing for Team USA, graduating from Harvard Law, litigating in New York, and leaving it all behind to be a stay-at-home dad, Kevin studied writing under Michael Jamin (King of the Hill, Takoma FD) on his way to becoming a semifinalist at the Austin Film Festival and the Page Awards and a finalist for the Roadmap Writers GPS Fellowship. You can typically find Kevin strolling with his toddler down Larchmont or trying to clean snot, and god knows what else, out of his flowing silver hair.
