Kaylord Hill is an action writer from Bastrop, Louisiana. After his 50-hour work weeks, only John Wick or Ethan Hunt can strip life down to its rawest truth: ordinary people either rise or fall. Action films epitomize Kaylord’s restaurant career: channeling frustration into forward motion into his feature action-comedy, SHIFT LEADER, which follows an obsessive fast-food manager’s first night in charge that spins into a fight for survival. Kaylord learned the power of story and screenwriting from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, which led him to win SoCreate’s “Screenwriter Stimulus”. Kaylord credits his penchant for writing high-octane action films to twelve years in Austin, Texas, managing high-volume fast-food restaurants, the apex of controlled chaos.
