BIO
Johanna Steppan is an Austrian writer and mountain professional who bridges the ski and film industries, drawing on her drama studies in London and a Master's in film to work as a unit manager and mountain safety consultant. Her experience spans nearly two decades of international productions and high-risk alpine roles, including work as a ski patroller, ropeway technician, and avalanche blasting expert across Europe, Chile, and Japan. As a wilderness EMT, she now lectures on emergency management and decision-making while continuing to hunt for inspiring stories and the perfect cup of filter coffee alongside her equally adventurous cat, Bambam.
