BIO
Raised in the American South and based in New York City, Jessica Auville is a writer-director whose art practice is fueled by urban neurosis and Appalachian ghost stories. A transplant from the advertising industry, she writes concept-driven dark comedies that deal with themes of community and isolation drawn from city life, her hometown, and her years of solo van travel. She has studied at The New School, UCLA Extension, and The Barrow Group, and recently served as assistant to award-winning theatre director Igor Golyak (ARLEKIN).
