BIO
Jeff Meyers is a filmmaker who writes character-based horror, thrillers, and grounded sci-fi with an eye toward social commentary. He loves to subvert genre expectations, revels in punchy, take-no-prisoners dialog, and wants his stories to leave bruise. After careers as a scientist, award-winning film critic, and director of live theater, Jeff married his wide-ranging life experiences with his obsession for storytelling. His short stories have been published in anthologies and lit magazines, his short films have played in over 70 festivals (winning more than a dozen awards), and his screenplays have earned him top prizes and landed him as a Nicholl semi-finalist. Jeff has a Master's Degree in Creative Writing & Screenwriting from UC Riverside and works as a Senior Writer at Apple.
