Finalist, The Dark Roads Horror & Thriller Feature Competition (2026)
BIO
Harnessing an uncanny ability to detect deception, JD Wallace spent ten relentless years dismantling terrorist networks-mastering interrogation, decoding lies, and earning the Intelligence Star for operations that remain classified to this day. After leaving government service, he became a sought-after private contractor, navigating high-stakes missions for elite law firms and some of the world's most powerful, secretive families. In 2005, a targeted attack claimed the lives of his wife and two young daughters, a tragedy that reshaped his creative path and inspired a fictional heroine who carries his wife's legacy. His debut novel, SILENTCATS: Deadly Dance, is a Silver Falchion Award finalist. JD studied screenwriting at UCLA Extension and contributed to acclaimed projects including the Emmy®-nominated Burn Notice and the genre-defining video game Skyrim, which racked up 14 awards in its first year. He now finds joy in plotting road trips to offbeat landmarks-like a haunted corn silo shaped like a duck.
