BIO
GENEVIEVE MCDEVITT is a writer/producer in film and television. Raised in Tornado Alley, she learned early that life's unpredictability fuels compelling stories. She is a graduate of Full Sail University and the New York Film Academy.
Genevieve began her career as an editor for FOX, NASCAR, and MTV, later transitioning into production with shows like American Idol, Max, and Ms. V and Me! for PBS Kids. Her experience, from production to post, gives her a unique perspective on storytelling.
Her work centers on resilient women defying the odds—just like her—in action-packed narratives exploring survival and the power of hope. Genevieve's screenplays have won awards and have been recognized as Semi-Finalists in ScreenCraft, Stage 32 Action & Adventure, Big Apple Film Festival, and WeScreenplay Diverse Voices.
Diagnosed with lupus in 2008 and surviving life-saving surgery, Genevieve advocates for disability and diversity inclusion in entertainment. She founded Pretty in Pain to amplify stories of women with disabilities and is an alumna of the Disability Belongs Fellowship. She is also a film festival judge and founded GLAM, offering budgeting and script services for indie filmmakers.
