Born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana, DARBY GAELLE HANNONARBY originally studied Biochemistry as well as Evolutionary and Conservation Biology at Indiana University and abroad in Spain, Costa Rica, and South Africa. After graduation she moved to New York City to work in research at Columbia University Medical Center and began to take acting classes on nights and weekends. Eventually she left science and went on to receive her MFA from the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in the UK. She first started studying playwriting with LAByrinth Theatre Company and produced her her first full length play at Teatro Latea in New York City in 2021. She has transitioned more into film and television and the last short film she wrote and starred in premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival in 2022. Currently she is living in LA and working as an actress and writer, and musician.
