BIO 


D’Angelo “D’Lo” Louis, from Richmond, California, is a filmmaker and Creative Executive at Proximity Media. In 2018, he entered the film industry as a director’s and producer’s assistant on major productions including Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and Space Jam: A New Legacy, gaining experience on large-scale sets. Now at Proximity, the company behind films like Judas and the Black Messiah, Creed III, and Sinners, where he also served as an Associate Producer on Creed III, he is currently on the team developing and producing the graphic novel adaptation Southern Bastards while creating his own work, including the award-winning Shoebox, the upcoming feature Announcements, and the documentary Frames of Freedom about the first film festival held inside the walls of a prison. Through this work, he continues to champion stories rooted in culture and emotional truth.
