BIO
COURTNEY HARRELL is a queer award-winning screenwriter, producer, and descendent of Edgar Allan Poe—so she’s told. She writes what her partner calls Snuggles and Horror: bold, emotionally-driven genre stories that wrap you in heart and then rip it out… sometimes literally. Her LGBTQ+ comedy PROUD was placed in several top competitions and won Best Comedy Feature Screenplay at the Nashville Film Festival.
Courtney’s adventurous spirit has taken her around the world—spearfishing in remote waters, training a Chihuahua with diva energy, and growing cannabis before it was cool.
A film industry veteran, she’s worked on hundreds of projects, including the Academy Award-winning film BOYHOOD. She holds a B.F.A. in Theatre from Texas State University and has trained with Roadmap Writers, PageCraft, and ScreenwritingU. Courtney is repped by One Moorer Management.
