BIO
CORY DAVID BORTNICKER is an emerging screenwriter and filmmaker originally from Philadelphia, PA. For the past 15 years, he’s been an advertising creative director for brands including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Etsy, and Nestlé. He has written two feature length screenplays – Enoch and My Name Is Jonas – both of which transform ancient Jewish legends into modern queer stories. He also wrote, directed, and starred in the short film My Name Is Jonas, an official selection at OUTSOUTH Queer Film Festival, the Twin Cities Jewish Film Festival, and the Philadelphia Film Society’s SpringFest, among others. His screenplays have placed at Slamdance Screenwriting Competition, Austin Film Festival, and ScreenCraft.
