BIO
Amber R. Dickinson holds a Ph.D. in political science and is a tenured Associate Professor of Political Science at Washburn University. Amber's always had an interest in the arts, and she's hosted local television shows, appeared in commercials, short films, feature films, and over thirty stage productions. Additionally, Amber created the arts non-profit Bicycle Face Productions to promote women in the arts and to offer financial support to local artists. Amber has published academic studies in peer-reviewed journals, written op-eds on fundamental rights, and served as an associate producer on a local PBS affiliate show focused on women's issues, but decided to begin creatively writing in 2024. In addition to writing and daydreaming scripts, Amber cherishes time with her chosen family, cooking and being outside, and learning new things.
