BIO 

ALEX MARSHA SYLVIA (they/he) is a screenwriter in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who graduated with a BFA in Screenwriting from the University of the Arts in 2024. Sylvia was born in 2001 and raised in Birmingham, Alabama. Influenced by their upbringing as a student activist and community organizer during the first term of the Trump administration, Sylvia’s pieces intend to shed light on how oppressive systems can impact young people from marginalized communities.
