BIO
After spending his childhood in the shadow of the Northern Indiana steel factories, Adam Hoelzel relocated to Los Angeles and began writing short stories and developing feature films at Bad Robot, Atlas Entertainment, and Warner Brothers. Upon signing with UTA and MGMT, Adam sold his first spec, BEAST OF BURDEN, which was shot in Savannah, Georgia, and starred Daniel Radcliffe and Grace Gummer. SUBJECT 19, Adam’s directorial debut short, was recently optioned by Pulsar & XYZ, and he’ll be directing the feature version this fall. As a storyteller, Adam focuses on generational trauma and toxic masculinity within Rust Belt America.
