AARTHI RAMANATHAN is a screenwriter and visual artist with a distinctive knack for crafting four-quadrant, imaginative coming-of-age stories where family, fantasy, and the magic of self-discovery collide. Her globe-spanning journey began in India where she was born, continued in Kuwait - until the Gulf War forced her family to leave the country unexpectedly—and ultimately brought her to Canada, where she draws inspiration from her multicultural roots and her life as a mom to four wonderful children, including three on the Autism spectrum who bring their own unique kind of magic. Aarthi writes for the outsiders - underrepresented and neurodivergent heroes navigating extraordinary worlds that reflect their inner lives - a voice that has also earned recognition in various prestigious competitions, including the Academy Nicholl Fellowship (Quarterfinalist), Final Draft Big Break (Finalist), and Tracking Board Launchpad (Finalist).
