More about Maggie Gottlieb

MAGGIE GOTTLIEB is an award-winning comedy/dramedy writer based in LA. She most recently wrote for the adult animated series EXPLODING KITTENS (Netflix), two seasons of the Emmy-nominated TAB TIME (YouTube Originals), and three seasons as Showrunner’s Assistant for THE BLACKLIST (NBC/Sony Pictures Entertainment). A Chicago native, Maggie took the scenic route to TV writing, making extended stops to earn a master’s degree in Art History & Museum Education from SAIC and spent over a decade performing with renowned comedy institutions, including Chicago’s iO and The Second City. Maggie’s femme-forward writing combines humor and heart with a dash of magical realism and a palpable undercurrent of progressive politics. Her work has been recognized by Austin Film Festival, The Black List, Women in Film, Hollywood Fringe Festival, and WhoHaha.com.
