Kristina Thomas is a writer and producer who began her television career on JJ Abram’s HBO show DEMIMONDE. After working with Broadway Video on Audible’s two NAACP award winning scripted podcasts, STRANDED and YES WE CANNABIS, she honed her voice in the procedural world for Dick Wolf’s FBI:INTERNATIONAL. At 23, she won a contest for $50,000 to direct a TV pilot in New Orleans for MTV/Endemol. After paying her dues as script coordinator on multiple shows, her feature script WORTH IT emerged as a semi-finalist for the Women in Film/The Blacklist feature competition and other contests. Her shorts have placed in several festivals including the Canadian Screen Award qualifying, Toronto Black Film Festival, Oscar qualifying BronzeLens Film Festival and recently won at the BraveMaker Film Festival. This former Women in Film Directors mentee, Amy Aniobe’s TRIBE Mentee and Film Independent’s Project Involve directing fellow is developing her first feature, WORTH IT as part of the Rideback Rise circle program while her short Saving All My Love is currently streaming on ASPIREtv.
