More about Jenna Simmons

Jenna Simmons is a proudly plus size, queer writer who has been told she’s “tall for a girl” and has a “forceful presence” by her dating app matches. She's currently working on her second season of VELMA for HBO Max under Charlie Grandy who she worked for as an assistant for three years. While studying at the University of Pittsburgh, she founded and served as the Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Comedy Festival which had headliners such as Aubrey Plaza, Todd Glass, and Judah Friedlander. She is a proud mother of two cats that only kind of like her, and when she’s not punching up jokes she enjoys boxing, which might explain the forceful presence thing.
