As the Head of Production at Star Thrower Entertainment, Allan Mandelbaum oversees the development and production of all Star Thrower projects. Most recently, he played a significant role in developing the script for THE POST. The film, directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Hanks & Meryl Streep, was nominated for 6 Golden Globes and named Best Film of the Year by the National Board of Review. Allan also recently produced the independent thriller WELCOME HOME (currently in post-production), starring Aaron Paul & Emily Ratajkowski and directed by George Ratliff. Previously, Allan was an Executive Producer on INGRID GOES WEST, directed by Matt Spicer, and starring Aubrey Plaza and Elizabeth Olsen. The film premiered in competition at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival and was released by Neon in August of 2017. He also Executive Produced LBJ, directed by Rob Reiner and starring Woody Harrelson, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Richard Jenkins. The film premiered at the 2016 Toronto Film Festival and was released in November of 2017. Allan also produced THE GOOD NEIGHBOR, directed by Kasra Farahani, which premiered at South by Southwest in March 2016. Prior to joining Star Thrower, Allan held development and production positions at Hugh Jackman's SEED Productions, Fox 2000 and Gavin Polone's Pariah Productions, as well as worked for the Endeavor Talent Agency. Allan currently has several other film and television projects in various stages of development and production, including the limited series MERCURY 13, which is in development at Amazon.
