I’m drawn to grounded stories that feel cinematic and real, whether it’s a character-driven drama, a fun buddy comedy, or a romance with genuine emotion. I love projects that live between indie and studio worlds and have something fresh to say.
Akuabba is a Development Executive and independent producer with experience across film and television. After earning her Master’s degree in Film & Television Production from DePaul University, she began her career at Creative Artists Agency, supporting a senior TV Literary agent on high-profile clients and series development.
She later joined MRC Film, where she supported creative development and production across the company’s feature slate, including AMERICAN FICTION and SALTBURN, both recognized with major nominations at the Oscars, Golden Globes, and BAFTAs.
She now works independently with multiple confidential industry partners, providing story analysis and creative consultation to writers developing narrative features and pilots. She also develops and produces independent projects across film and television.
