Weekend Box Office Top Ten:
TENET is #1 again with only $3.4M (Million) a decline of -27.7% from last weekend. The domestic total is now just $41.2M, and global stands at $283.2M, after adding another $15M over this weekend frame. Overall, the WB film is on target to finish somewhere between $325-350M worldwide, representing a sharp financial loss for the studio.

THE NEW MUTANTS is #2 with $1.1M, a domestic total of $19.4M, and a worldwide total of $38.8M for Disney, which will post a moderate loss as they are unlikely to recoup their marketing spend on the title, a holdover from the Fox acquisition.

UNHINGED is #3 with $1M, a domestic total of $17.1M, and a worldwide total of $31.7M. At this rate, it might finish somewhere in the $20-25M range, which is shy of the $30M domestic which the film had hoped for. It is expected to do well on PVOD (Premium Video On Demand) when it eventually makes its way to the home markets.

STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK is #4 on a special re-release with $908K (Thousand) and a total of $1.9M for this particular re-issue of the classic.

INFIDEL is #5 with $745K, and a total of $2.6M for independent distributor Cloudburst Entertainment.

THE BROKEN HEARTS GALLERY is #6 with $470K and a total of $3.2M for Sony.

SHORTCUT opened at #7 with $305K for Gravitas Ventures.

AKIRA is #8 with $270K on a special re-release from Funimation.

THE LAST SHIFT opened at #9 with $235K for Sony.

KAJILLIONAIRE opened at #10 with $215K for Focus Features.

The overall outlook is increasingly grim for theatrical. There are no significant new releases still on schedule anymore for the year until Thanksgiving when NO TIME TO DIE and SOUL are currently set to release, unless that changes again, such as Disney's recent delay of BLACK WIDOW until May 2021.
