IT: CHAPTER 2 is #1 for the second weekend in a row, bringing in $40.7M (Million) for a domestic total of $153.8M, and a global take of $323.3M. Produced for around $80M plus marketing, this film is already profitable for WB, and combined with the first installment, the franchise has passed the $1 Billion global mark for the studio.

HUSTLERS opened at #2 with an impressive $33.2M domestic and early $37.6M worldwide, in a huge win for STX and star Jennifer Lopez, giving each of them their biggest opening weekend of all-time. Produced for only $20M plus marketing, this will be nicely profitable.

ANGEL HAS FALLEN is #3 with $4.4M and a domestic total of $60.3M. Produced for $40M plus marketing, this will be another profitable installment of the franchise, earning more than the prior film at a lower cost, and with international playing a significant role, as the FALLEN films are big hits overseas.

GOOD BOYS is #4 with $4.2M, a domestic total of $73.3M, and a worldwide total of $91.6M, heading past the $100M mark soon. Produced for $20M plus marketing, this has been a solid comedy hit for Universal.

THE LION KING is #5 with $3.5M, a giant domestic total of $533.9M, and a global haul which has now reached $1.616 Billion, the second biggest film of the year after AVENGERS: ENDGAME. The only question now is whether they can hold the crown, or if FROZEN 2 or THE RISE OF SKYWALKER will surpass that total, both stateside and globally.

FAST & FURIOUS PRESENTS: HOBBS & SHAW is #6 with $2.7M, a domestic total of $168.3M, and a much bigger global total of $740M. Produced for $200M plus marketing, this has become another hit for Universal, with international bringing in $572M alone, or 77% of the worldwide gross, and a sequel already in development.

OVERCOMER is #7 with $2.7M, and a total of $28.9M. Produced for only $5M plus a modest marketing campaign, this is another profitable faith-based production from Sony.

THE GOLDFINCH opened at #8 with a disastrous $2.6M playing in 2,542 theaters. Produced for $45M plus marketing, this will be an expensive misfire from WB, and represent the biggest studio bomb of the year, as well as one of the worst studio opening weekends of all-time.

THE PEANUT BUTTER FALCON is #9 with $1.9M, and a total of $15M.

DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD is #10 with $1.8M, a domestic total of $56.7M, and a worldwide total of $90M. Produced for $49M plus marketing, it will be a moderate financial loss for Paramount.

Next weekend is another crowded one, with AD ASTRA, RAMBO: LAST BLOOD, and DOWNTON ABBEY all making their domestic debuts.
