Weekend Box Office Top Ten:

TOY STORY 4 is #1 again with $57.9M (Million), a domestic total of $236.9M, and $496.5M globally, as Disney staggers the international dates timed to maximize summer vacations and holidays worldwide. This is a good showing for the studio and Pixar, and the family film will continue to play well throughout July.

ANNABELLE COMES HOME opened at #2 with $20.3M and a five-day debut of $31.2M, right in line with expectations. Worldwide this one has earned an early $76.2M, as this will be another big horror hit for WB, the CONJURING franchise, and continue the winning streak the genre has enjoyed with audiences.

YESTERDAY opened at #3 with $17M domestic, and an incredibly early $24.7M worldwide with the vast majority of international yet to debut. Produced for just $26M, there is every expectation that this will be nicely profitable for Universal.

ALADDIN held at #4 with $9.3M, a big domestic total of $305.8M, and a hugely impressive $874.1M, as the film will now certainly earn more than $900M globally, above all expectations for this Disney smash.

THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS 2 is #5 with $7M, a domestic total of $131.2M, and $223M worldwide. Produced for $80M plus marketing, this will be profitable for Illumination and Universal, but is a disappointing total for the sequel.

MEN IN BLACK INTERNATIONAL is #6 with $6.5M, a domestic total of $65M, and $219M worldwide. Produced for around $90-95M plus marketing, this should be able to reach profitability for Sony, albeit just barely.

AVENGERS: ENDGAME is #7 after expanding with a re-release, netting another $5.5M to bring the domestic total to $841.3M, and $2.76 Billion globally. The attempt here was to unseat AVATAR worldwide as the top film ever, yet it remains unclear if Marvel and Disney will hit that mark.

CHILD'S PLAY fell to #8 with $4.2M, and a domestic total of $23.4M. International has yet to open on this horror film. Produced for only $10M plus a modest marketing campaign by United Artists Releasing, this will be solidly profitable and likely the launch of a new take on the franchise.

ROCKETMAN is #9 with $3.8M, a domestic total of $84.1M, and $165.5M worldwide. Produced for just $40M plus marketing, this has been a nice hit for Paramount, and profitable summer counter-programming.

JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 3 - PARABELLUM is #10 with $3.1M, a domestic total now of $161.3M, and an impressive $303M globally for Lionsgate, as the third film in the popular franchise winds down its run.

OTHER NOTABLES: SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME opened early in China, Hong Kong, and Japan to a stunning $111M, with China's debut netting $98M alone, the 4th biggest superhero opening ever behind Avengers: Endgame, Infinity War, and Sony's own Venom spinoff.

Next weekend will be ruled by Spider-Man, as the webslinger's new film opens on Tuesday, capitalizing on the 4th of July holiday and looking at a giant debut throughout the entire week in the U.S. and internationally.
