Weekend Box Office Top Ten:

ONWARD is #1 with only $10.5M (Million) as the domestic box office sank to a 21-year low amid a declared national emergency, and as many as 100 theaters in major metropolitan hubs such as New York closing for the time being. The domestic total for this Pixar film stands at $60.2M, and global is $101M, in what will be a large financial loss for Disney in as much as the $150M range.

I STILL BELIEVE opened at #2 with $9.5M total for Lionsgate, which had no time to move the film off this release date. Produced for the low-teens, it will end up only a small financial loss for the studio.

BLOODSHOT opened at #3 to $9.3M for Sony and a worldwide total of $25.6M. While the health crisis globally did play a role in dampening grosses, this $45M production was never expected to be profitable based on where tracking had it, as Vin Diesel has struggled to bring in audiences beyond the FAST series.

THE INVISIBLE MAN is #4 with $6M, a domestic total of $64.4M, and a worldwide total of $122.7M for Universal. Produced for only $7M plus marketing, this Blumhouse film is ending up a nicely profitable hit.

THE HUNT opened at #5 with $5.3M for Universal and Blumhouse. Previously delayed, this one was unable to be moved again, though audiences showed no real interest even before the box office collapse. Produced for $14M plus marketing, it will be a moderate financial loss.

SONIC THE HEDGEHOG is #6 with $2.5M, a domestic total of $145.8M, and a worldwide total of $306M. Produced for $85M plus marketing, this is a solid success for Paramount and the launch of a new franchise, with a sequel already in development.

THE WAY BACK is #7 with $2.4M, and a total of $13.4M for WB. Produced for around $18M plus marketing, it will be a slight financial loss for the studio.

THE CALL OF THE WILD is #8 with $2.2M, a domestic total of $62M, and $107M worldwide total for 20th Century Studios and Disney. Produced for $135M plus marketing, this will be a significant financial loss.

EMMA is #9 with $1.3M, a domestic total of $10M, and $25M worldwide for Universal and Focus Features.

BAD BOYS FOR LIFE is #10 with $1.1M, a domestic total of $204.2M, and a global haul of $417M. Produced for $90M, this is wrapping up its run as a tremendously profitable success for Sony, with a fourth film in the franchise on the way.
