Weekend Box Office Top Ten:

1917 is #1 with $36.5M (Million) after expanding into wide-release, bringing the film's domestic total to an impressive $39.2M and an early $60.4M worldwide. This is a terrific result for a film which will have an impressive multiple throughout its awards run.

STAR WARS: THE RISE OF SKYWALKER is #2 with $15M, a domestic total now of $478.1M, and $989M globally, as the film will cross the $1 Billion mark worldwide sometime this week, heading to a total of about $1.1 billion final for Disney.

JUMANJI: THE NEXT LEVEL is #3 with $14M, a domestic total of $257M, and $632M worldwide. Sony's hit sequel has proven highly profitable, with another installment yet to be officially announced, but inevitable.

LIKE A BOSS opened at #4 with a poor showing of $10M, which, given the film's budget of $29M plus marketing, means this will be a financial loss for Paramount.

JUST MERCY opened at #5 with $10M as well (and may switch places when final grosses are available), an "okay" result given that the film is expected to have a strong multiple for WB.

LITTLE WOMEN is #6 with $7.6M, a domestic total of $74M, and $94M worldwide and climbing. Produced for $40M plus marketing, this Sony release will no doubt reach profitability for the studio.

UNDERWATER opened at #7 with a disastrous $7M domestic and $14M worldwide for Fox. Produced for around $50M plus marketing, this will be a sharp financial loss for the studio which struggled all of last year until FORD V. FERRARI, but is expected to rebound nicely this year.

FROZEN 2 is #8 with $5.7M, a domestic total of $459.3M, and $1.371 Billion globally, as the Disney smash heads to a final global in the $1.5 Billion range.

KNIVES OUT is #9 with $5.7M, a domestic total of almost $140M, and $265M worldwide for Lionsgate, the surprise hit of the winter. Produced for $40M plus marketing, this original has been wildly profitable, with a sequel announced.

SPIES IN DISGUISE is #10 with $5.1M, a domestic total of $54.6M, and an early $115M worldwide for Fox, as the animated film continues to roll out internationally.

Next weekend sees BAD BOYS FOR LIFE from Sony and DOLITTLE from Universal both release, looking to bring in their respective audiences over the 3-days.
