About Scott

Scott Varnado began his career in the film industry working as an on-set assistant for director Lee Daniels on both THE PAPERBOY and THE BUTLER. After moving from New Orleans to Los Angeles in 2013 and before joining the Rumble team, Scott spent time working for director Simon West, producer Randall Emmett, and for producers Doug Mankoff and Andrew Spaulding of Echo Lake Entertainment. In 2017, for Rumble Films' SMALL CRIMES, Scott served as post-production coordinator, and Scott served as associate producer on the upcoming Rumble Films production DONNYBROOK.

Scott also writes and directs his own content, having made a Civil War-era action short entitled THE FREE STATE OF JONES in 2010. The same factual events upon which this short film was based served as the basis for a feature film of the same name, starring Matthew McConaughey and released in 2016. Scott holds a B.A. in Film Studies from Wesleyan University.
