Materials Due: Sunday 9/16 @ 9:00am PT
This session is great for writers with drama, action & thriller projects!
Roadmap Writers is always looking for ways to get our writers in front of super high profile executives to receive the best feedback possible on their projects.
We created Virtual Meet Ups to allow a small group of 6 writers to pitch in a roundtable setting, ask questions and build a relationship with vetted executives.
Each writer starts with a 5-minute pitch and then it'll open up to a Q&A with the participating executive so you can ask any questions you have on pitching techniques, how to best position a script in the marketplace and the industry overall!
This Virtual Meet Up is with Libby Petcoff (Creative Executive, Black Label Media)!
Libby Petcoff was born and raised in Denver, Colorado with a passion for acting and film. This passion evolved and eventually led to a desire to work behind the camera. She graduated from Chapman University with a BFA in Screenwriting, as well as minors in Film Studies and Holocaust History. During her time at Chapman, she gained first-hand experience through internships at Los Angeles-based production companies and began building a network of industry professionals and mentors.
Upon graduating, Libby moved to LA and began working at the talent agency William Morris Endeavor in the mailroom, where she would eventually move on to be an assistant for a motion picture literary agent. After 2 years at WME, she began working as an assistant at Black Label Media where she had the opportunity to see five films through development, production, and release. After one year Libby was promoted to her current position as Creative Executive.
Black Label is a film finance and production company dedicated to making bold films with commercial appeal. We pride ourselves on making high quality, filmmaker-driven content. Black Label's feature credits include SICARIO, LA LA LAND, ONLY THE BRAVE, 12 STRONG, and SICARIO: DAY OF THE SOLDADO, among others. Since its inception in 2013, Black Label has expanded into television production and development.
As a Creative Executive, Libby works in both feature and TV development and is involved in shaping existing projects on the slate as well as assessing incoming material for Black Label.
