About David

The son of a feature producer / film preservationist, New York native David Harris’ love of film was ingrained in him at an early age. Upon graduating from the University of Central Florida with a dual major in Film and Business, David made his way to Los Angeles to pursue a career in feature and television production. He cut his teeth working alongside various producers before ending up at Platinum Studios, where he was ultimately upped to Director of Development and worked on such films as DYLAN DOG and COWBOYS & ALIENS. Following his tenure at Platinum, David did a brief stint at Paramount Pictures before striking out on his own as an independent producer. Shortly thereafter, David set up the contained action thriller Security at Millennium. Most recently, he has purchased the rights to The Protector by David Morrell - creator of Rambo, which is in active development.

In addition, under his banner of Harris Films, David has a handful of projects in various stages of development with several production companies and has amassed a catalogue high-quality intellectual properties which he is currently evolving with eminent filmmakers and screenwriters.
