About Molly

As a reader, Molly Welsh started out working for Director Phil Traill (THE MIDDLE, FRESH OFF THE BOAT) and Dean Craig (DEATH AT A FUNERAL, A FEW BEST MEN) by doing administrative duties as well as giving feedback on projects during the development/ brainstorming process. After that, Molly worked at Kaplan/Perrone reading scripts every day and has been for three years - which has given her great insight into what works and what doesn't. In college Molly studied theatre and screenwriting, which gave her the basis for the skills she uses to cover scripts and give feedback. Today, Molly works as Creative Executive for Jeff Tomsic who most recently released the movie TAG starring Ed Helms, Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm, and Hannibal Burress.

Molly's Pitch Tip: Logline first! I want to know what the meat of the story is going to be before you jump into the details - Doesn't have to sound like a logline necessarily, could be an overview as well if logline feels too forced.
