About David

David McInerney was born in Boston Mass, and so with his rock band they moved to LA to make the dream happen. Along the way he found out that writing songs was just like telling a 3 minute story. And, that was what he really wanted to do.

He started in the William Morris mailroom and really got the fever. He left WMA to become an agent for the Jon Klane Agency. He since worked for several other agencies including The Linton Agency, and ACME Talent and Literary.

He eventually ended up working for Sony Pictures and got to know the studio development side of the business and that gave him the final tool to inspire me to move into literary management.

In 2015 he decided to strike out on his own and started his own management co called MaCroManagement.

David's Pitch Tip: The perfect pitch would be to have a three line logline that is refined and tells a small part of the characters journey. The pitch would include the obstacles, decisions and dynamics of the characters.
