About Kaitlin

Kaitlin Cunniff was raised in Deerfield, IL, a northern suburb of Chicago. She earned her BFA in Film & Television Production from the Tisch School of the Arts at NYU. Kaitlin left New York in the summer of 2011 to pursue a film career on the west coast. She started in the Motion Picture Literary department at ICM and went on to work in the Feature Development department at Paramount Pictures for two years. She pivoted to television in 2015, landing at John Wells Productions, where she currently works on SHAMELESS, ANIMAL KINGDOM, and AMERICAN WOMAN.

Kaitlin's Pitch Tip: Grab your audience with the teaser; Tell us what the world is and why you want to do a show about it; Outline the characters in order of importance; Broad stroke the pilot; Discuss what an episode of your show looks like; Clearly establish the tone of your show.
