Pitch Tips

A focus on tone and structure is key. I think it's important to establish the tone first, set the structure, then get into themes and characters. I don't think a beat by beat description of the plot is necessary. If it's for TV, how do you see the character arc(s) build out over the series?

About Your Host

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Rebecca Rodriguez has a background in English literature. Upon graduating college, she started working at a boutique talent management company. From there, she moved on to work for one of the heads of the talent department at Anonymous Content. After about a year, Becca decided to make the transition into lit/producing and development. She now works in Anonymous Content's Media Rights Department representing authors & journalists with underlying IP for film/TV adaptation. She is generally drawn towards elevated drama/thriller series with a strong female character at its center and dark comedies a la FLEABAG.
