About Your Host

Rachel Skidmore is the President of On Q Media Group, the entertainment company of legendary modern dancer, choreographer, actor, and director Adolfo "Shabba-Doo" Quinones (AKA The Godfather of Street Dance). Taking her experience at creator-driven production companies such as Skybound Entertainment and in talent representation at Big Frame, she will lead his team and their development efforts film, TV and the digital space to acknowledge, showcase, and celebrate his 50 years in entertainment. Everything from his time on Soul Train, dancing with the Lockers, his film breakthrough "BREAKIN'" films, and his ongoing contributions to the world of street dance. Previously, Skidmore was the Vice President of Film and Television at Robert Kirkman’s Skybound Entertainment, where she expanded Skybound’s IP into traditional mediums and found and vetted new creators and IP to bring into the Skybound fold through Film/TV adaptation and serviced first look deals with Amazon Studios and Universal Pictures. Skidmore’s innovative production expertise allowed her to supervise the company’s slate of independent films, regularly collaborating with financiers, partners and line producers on production and go to market plans for films $12M and under. She served as a Co-EP on "Robert Kirkman’s Secret History of Comics" for AMC's Visionaries Series and oversaw all of Skybound’s unscripted development efforts. Skidmore was also the Executive Producer for two seasons of YouTube Red’s launch title "Scare PewDiePie," which involved overseeing every aspect of the show including acquiring game licenses, hiring every level of producer, and supervising the development of the entire series alongside veteran challenge and story producers. Skidmore also spearheaded the creation of the Emerging Platforms and Digital Divisions at Skybound, where she managed a slate of premium, non-traditional content, VR/AR projects and other innovative partnerships. In this capacity, she sourced talent and IP, developed and managed projects from incubation to release. During this time, she Executive Produced on the first-ever scripted VR series "Gone" and the horror VR series based on the live-immersive play "Delusion: Lies Within," both for Samsung VR. She is likely best known for Executive Producing the critically acclaimed VR sci-fi short "Dinner Party," based on a true story of the first-reported alien abduction in the 1960s. The short was featured at over 30 festivals including Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca and Cannes as well as on The Today Show. The film won the VR Grand Jury Prize at the Fantasia Film Festival and the VR Award at Raindance in 2018. Prior to joining Skybound, Rachel was a talent manager and producer at Big Frame, a boutique influencer management firm that was eventually acquired by Dreamworks/AwesomenessTV. There, she was the Director of the content vertical Wonderly, which celebrated the creative minds and voices of influential young women online. Under the Wonderly banner, she licensed original scripted series for the dedicated channel, produced original owned and operated content, secured brand deals for clients, and signed 85+ channels into the network. Skidmore regularly speaks on the topics of multi-platform entertainment, building IP franchises, and producing for organizations such as Google, YouTube, Cablefax, Digital Hollywood, Women in Focus, TV of Tomorrow and VidCon, and on podcasts such as Hiding in the Bathroom and The Real Virtual Show. Originally from Springfield, Missouri, Skidmore holds a B.S. in Electronic Arts from Missouri State University and an M.F.A. in Film and Television Producing from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts.
