Roadmap Writers is proud to sponsor the 2019 Austin Film Festival Pitch Competition! 

As part of this year's Pitch Competition, any writer who purchases a pitch ticket can sign-up to receive a FREE online pitch prep class courtesy of Roadmap Writers.

The class will give you tips on how to craft your pitch to be as strong as it can be. The pitch prep class will be hosted virtually, so no matter where you live, you can still participate.

Roadmap Writers, a leader in screenwriter education and training offers a variety of online programs hosted by working industry executives designed to empower writers with actionable tools and insights to elevate their craft and cultivate relationships with industry professionals. Since 2016 Roadmap has helped 84 writers sign to representation and countless others get staffed, or option their script.

What To Expect

From the dropdown select one of the live session dates to participate in - August, September, or October.

Immediately after registering, you will receive an Order Confirmation that serves as the receipt for your registration. In the Order Summary section of this email you will find a link reading "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS" that will take you to your syllabus, instructions for submitting material (if any), and the link to join the Live Class.

During this live group session, a member of the Roadmap Writers team will break down the key tenants of formulating your pitch as well as share insights on how to best deliver your pitch come pitch day. A select few volunteers will even have a chance to pitch live and get immediate feedback!
