As a result, we've seen a wave of diverse creators take center stage and films like CRAZY RICH ASIANS, BLACK PANTHER, PARASITE, and THE FAREWELL that have proven there is a desire for more diverse stories, perspectives, and characters on both the big and small screens. The continued push to show diversity both in front of and behind the camera is an ongoing endeavor. But is it enough?
In honor of Black History Month, Roadmap has put together a special webinar event with three brilliant panelists to discuss the state of the industry, diverse voices, and representation!

Daniel Stitt is a Creative Executive at BET Networks. For the past 5+ years, Stitt has helped develop and manage several projects on the network's slate including BEING MARY JANE, AMERICAN SOUL, Lena Waithe's TWENTIES and BOOMERANG, THE BOBBY BROWN STORY, and more. With a passion for bringing emerging and diverse voices to the small screen, Stitt has lent his skillset to BET's first ever SCRIPT TO SCREEN initiative for TV writers. He also assist PROJECT CRE8, Viacom's initiative for new filmmakers, and works as BET's brand ambassador for the VIEWFINDER program, a director mentorship program. In 2019 Stitt was selected among 20 rising executives and producers to the TIMES UP: WHO'S IN THE ROOM program.
Ally Seibert is a television writer who is currently working as a producer on an unnamed Amazon drama. Ally has also worked on The Rookie for ABC, Hawaii Five-0 for CBS and Chicago Fire for NBC. She got her start at CAA and worked for writers/producers like Joe Carnahan and Peter Lenkov before making the jump to writing. She has also produced all eight of her episodes, working closely with showrunners and directors from start to finish. Ally is a graduate of Miami University and continues to work closely with their 'Inside Hollywood' program where she mentors students looking to get into the entertainment industry.
Chikira Bennett,/STRONG> is a development professional with a passion and focus on world building and character. Currently a Coordinator in the Presidents office at Sony Pictures Television, the studio behind network cable hits BREAKING BAD (AMC), broadcast dramas, THE GOOD DOCTOR and FOR LIFE (ABC), as well the highly anticipated upcoming horror saga, THEM (Amazon), Chikira manages and streamlines business and creative affairs for top level executives in the studio, works with the creative teams on new development, discovers ideal content for their slates and most recently, is identifying new initiatives for infrastructural change in studio hiring and retention practices.
Originally from Southern Maryland outside of the District of Columbia, Chikira received her Bachelor's degree from Temple University and began her career working at Creative Artists Agency in the TV Literary department. Following the agency, Chikira landed at Morgan Freeman's production company, Revelations Entertainment, working with a small development team on revamping the TV slate. While there, she identified multiple projects for development and contributed in developing a limited series about the life and legacy of Muhammad Ali.
