Molly Welsh

Creative Executive @ International Businessman
Sunday 5/2 @ 10:00am - 1:00pm PT

Particularly Interested In:

Indie features under 5 million. Ideally small cast, able to shoot in a handful of locations. I will hear out big-budget studio pitches, but I'm able to do more with an indie.

Pitch Tips

Start with where the story is coming from, personally, for you as the writer. Is it based on a true event that affected you? Are there parts of this story that motivated creating this story even if it isn't true? I'd rather be hooked by how this personally affects the writer speaking about the work versus hearing about story first.

About Your Host

Molly Welsh is currently in prep, as the Creative Exec, for a Sony feature. She has also contributed ideas that have helped her company win ten out of twenty studio feature pitches over the last two years. Prior to joining International Businessman, Molly worked for Aaron Kaplan & Sean Perrone of KPE and still keep in close contact with them. While working there, she was able to get Xavier Neal-Burgen signed from a screening event.
