Pitch Tips

Be concise, only touch upon the necessary / high level story beats. Be clear about your A, B & C Stories. Emotion is the most important grounding factor in a pitch, what emotional arcs / journeys do our characters undertake and why do we care about them?

About Your Host

Michael Kagan received his bachelors degree at Indiana University before moving out west to start his career in the mailroom at UTA. After a little more than a year, Michael transitioned to CAA to work for a senior MP Lit agent. He then got promoted and worked for the head of the MP Lit department for 2 and a half years before leaving with the Co-Head of the Television Department (Peter Micelli) to be his assistant as Pete transitioned to run the studio at Entertainment One. Michael was soon after promoted to be an executive in the television department at eOne, focusing on late stage development & packaging.
