Mette Norkjaer is the Creative Executive at BOOM! Studios, a production company and publisher with a First Look deal with 20th Century Fox.
BOOM! Studios controls the largest library of comic book IP outside of Marvel and DC Comics. Through four distinct publishing imprints—BOOM! Studios, BOOM! Box, KaBOOM!, and Archaia—BOOM! has produced award-winning original work, including LUMBERJANES, THE WOODS, GIANT DAYS, KLAUS, and MOUSE GUARD, while also breaking new ground with established licenses such as MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS, Cartoon Network, and The Jim Henson Company properties.
In 2014, BOOM! signed a first-look deal with 20th Century Fox for feature films and 20th Television, and in June 2017 Fox acquired a significant minority stake in BOOM! – the first major studio investment in a comic book company since Disney acquired Marvel in 2009. BOOM! is currently developing multiple projects for film and TV including, MOUSE GUARD with Wes Ball directing, GOLDIE VANCE with Rashida Jones attached to write and direct, LUMBERJANES, IRREDEEMABLE, IMAGINE AGENTS, and many more.
Mette earned her MFA from the prestigious Peter Stark Producing Program at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts in 2016. She is originally from Copenhagen, Denmark and is passionate about collaborating with new rising talent.
