Pitch Tips

Concept first! Then, for me, don’t get lost in explaining all of your minute plot points. Better to just touch on the most important ones and use the saved time to touch back in on what those events mean to your characters and their development.

About Your Host

Having read 300+ scripts over the last several years at The Gersh Agency, it has been Jonathan Martin's personal and professional pleasure to participate in notes calls with clients and give feedback on both first drafts that have yet to be shopped around Hollywood, as well as on final drafts that have already sold to major production companies and studios and are prepped to move out of the development phase. As one of only two Motion Picture Literary applicants accepted to the agent training program, that script experience has led to coordination with all departments representing industry talent and provided a more holistic view at the ways that a script can serve (or underserve) the needs of a director, an actor, or any number of other production talents.
