About Your Host

John Hilary Shepherd is Vice President of Development for Brian Oliver's New Republic Pictures, which has a deal with Paramount. Their first feature ROCKETMAN was released in 2019 and this Christmas they will be releasing feature 1917 from director Sam Mendes. Prior to New Republic, John ran development at Cross Creek Pictures and oversaw a slate of films that grossed $1.2 billion worldwide and received 3 Academy Award wins and 2 Best Picture Oscar nominations, including BLACK SWAN and HACKSAW RIDGE. He has an MFA in Screenwriting from the American Film Institute and a WGA Award nomination for his work on the Showtime television show NURSE JACKIE.

HOW IT WORKS


  • Immediately after registering, you will receive an Order Confirmation email that serves as the receipt for your registration. In the Order Summary section of this email you will find a link reading "CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS" that will take you to instructions on how to submit your script via the Material Submission Form.
  • Your material submission is due as soon as you are ready, but no later than 9:00am PT on the day of the session.
  • During the session, the exec will read as many of your opening pages as they can get through in 8 minutes.
  • You will receive this exec's written feedback on your pages via email within 5 business days following the session unless otherwise notified.

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel for a full refund up to 72 hrs. prior to the start of the session. Cancellations requested after this deadline will be ineligible for refunds.
