Since childhood, Jessica Jacobs has always had a fervent imagination for storytelling. After graduating from Loyola Marymount’s Film & Television program, Jess worked for the CEO & President of Echo Lake Entertainment (NEBRASKA). Simultaneously, Jessica became a Film Independent Lab fellow and was awarded a grant from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences for her producing endeavors. In 2016, she moved over to Jeff Robinov's Studio 8, where she was an early hire in the book department and sought out available material, identified emerging filmmakers, and developed tentpole movies and series for global audiences. Next, she worked on set and in post with Paul Schiff (RUSHMORE) on Netflix's HOW IT ENDS, starring Theo James and Forest Whitaker. She then brought in and produced FRACTURED, a psychological thriller starring Sam Worthington that was released on Netflix. In 2018, Jess served as a Director of Development at Artillery Creative, where she oversaw their film and TV slate, brought in and developed feature specs across all genres, and helped sell their literary client’s projects. With her seasoned development background, love for production and passion for thought-provoking stories, Jess is now producing films and TV independently. Her active slate champions left of center stories, female perspectives, diverse characters, and underdogs.
