Aside from a well-introduced world/hero, is there anything else you look for in the first 8-15 pages of a script?
I look for an enticing teasing, whether that be some well-done dialogue or some set up for the plot that requires me to know what the pages moving forward look like.
If you had to describe a writer’s “voice” in a few words, how would you describe it?
Subjectively, a writer's voice I look for is one that feels authentic. The writer doesn’t need to base their characters completely off their own lives but there need to be moments and experiences that I can read and feel like this was written by someone who has been through some form of that moment or who really crafted a genuine moment that someone can relate to.
If you could have been part of any movie or TV show that's been out in the past 2 years, what would it be?
CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA, THIS IS US, MARRIAGE STORY, IT CHAPTER 2.
Make sure the bones are strong! I want to read thought-out characters, strong three act structure, and no spelling or grammar mistakes. Let's start there.
