Sci-fi has endless possibilities for storytelling, but all those possibilities seem overwhelming and daunting when you’re trying to get started in the genre. It just seems like such a tall order.

About Your Host

Addison Mehr began his career with directors Martin Scorsese and Rebecca Miller. He worked on Scorsese’s BAFTA nominated George Harrison: Living in the Material World and the Academy Award nominated film, HUGO, as well as development and pre-production on SILENCE which is in production. Addison is Currently VP of Acquisitions and Production at Hyde Park Entertainment where he will be responsible for the Hyde Park Production slate. Previously he was responsible for acquisitions and digital distribution across the GoDigital Inc companies (Amplify Releasing, GoDigital, and Distribber). Notable films include The Zellner Brothers’ KUMIKO THE TREASURE HUNTER and Terry Gilliam’s ZERO THEOREM. Addison studied film and entertainment business at New York University. He currently resides in Los Angeles California.
