Pitch Tips

First off I always want to know why YOU specifically are writing this material, then make the characters as real as possible.

About Your Host

David Burgis is a producer focusing on comedy, children's content, and upscale horror (and occasionally the intersection between the three). He’s produced micro-budget genre features, an award-winning scripted podcast (VOYAGE TO THE STARS), preschool animations for Nelvana, and Grammy-winning comedy specials. He's worked with Legendary Entertainment (PACIFIC RIM, KRAMPUS), Netflix, and run programming strategy for the digital brand Jukin (FAILARMY, PEOPLE ARE AWESOME), and in genre TV. David got his start working as the assistant to such award-winning writers as Oscar-nominated Jeff Blitz, Sundance-winning Sam Levinson.
