Bobby Hoppey is a seasoned developer and story analyst who has worked with Roadmap since its inception. In 2018, Bobby joined Valparaiso Pictures, a newly-established development finance and production company that empowers filmmakers to take creative risks, in the role of Director of Development. Valparaiso is focused on growing its slate - engaging on projects across film, television and interactive content. Upcoming credits include PALIMPSEST (directed by Michael Tyburski and produced with Anonymous Content), AFTER PERFECT (to be adapted by Elizabeth Chomko and produced with Matt Reeves' 6th & Idaho), and the short film HOW TO BE ALONE (directed by Kate Trefry of STRANGER THINGS).
Prior to Valparaiso, Bobby spent two years as the primary feature development exec at Echo Lake Entertainment, where he managed the company's film slate with a focus on tracking commercially viable projects with strong thematic content for production and financing opportunities. Prior to his executive roles, Bobby served as assistant to Echo Lake's CEO, Doug Mankoff, and President, Andy Spaulding, in addition to a tenure with the company's talent management actor division where he worked closely with clients such as Dakota and Elle Fanning. Bobby holds a bachelor's degree in Journalism from Elon University.
